Attack on Health Care and Patient Rights

Press Release
Today in Mesquite Texas an inexcusable injustice has unfolded. Three outstanding healthcare professionals, registered nurses at Dallas Regional Medical Center at Mesquite were wrongfully terminated by a hospital administration that puts profit before patient care. These brave RNs took a stand for the care and safety of their patients. Only asking that they be allowed to comply within the Standards of Nursing Practice guidelines. However the administration responded to the RNs concerns about the inadequate nurse to patient ratios by sending them home and today terminating their jobs. It is a sad day in Texas when a few pennies on the dollar determine the health and well being of the patients in this hospital and possibly other hospitals which like Dallas Regional Medical Center at Mesquite are more concerned with profit margins than healthcare. It is up to the public to stand strong with these nurses to insure that the best and safest healthcare remains available. Let this hospital administration know you support these strong and compassionate nurses. Let them know that all TEXANS want the right to life, liberty, and excellent healthcare.
